Landscape for Android would be cool.

iOS/iPad version has landscape mode when the iPad is rotated, why not for Android tablets as well?  ;-)

Really needed for Android Tablets!

Better tablet feature support would be nice to have but honestly, I would not take my tablet on a shopping trip anyway even though it is a fairly small Nexus 7 2013.  Still, it should not be a major undertaking to at least provide a landscape view for those who have only a tablet and no phone if for no other reason other than for the fact that it is a bit confusing to run across an app this day in age that will not switch perspectives when a device is rotated.
I would not take my tablet on a shopping trip either. But I prefer to use it for creating long lists. And this is really annoying to have an app that changes your screen orientation. Currently I use rotation customizer app as a workaround: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nl.fameit.rotate&hl=en
Using Buy me a pie in landscape mode would be great. I have mounted a tablet on a wall in our kitchen in landscape orientation and use it to add items to our shopping list via Buy me a pie android app. It isn't usable because of the missing landscape orientation mode....
we have exactly the same problem, i tried to use the voice-to-text function but thats not working so well. We used another app before and it worked perfect that way. Since it didnt sync correctly with our phones it was useless.
Buy me a pie is working much better, but the landscape mode is really missing!

I too use my tablet in my Kitchen to create my lists since i use it for meal planning from recipes to build grocery lists. I love the multiple list feature i even have one with my Vitamins and dose so when they are on sell i know which to by. I have a list for price matching the online, big box and grocery stores on items I buy rarely or in large quantities. I also have don't forget lists for annual vacation weekends, annual party shopping lists, Craft store wishlist and hardware store remember to pick up next time lists. I don't think i could survive without this tool it is great so i can live with it as is but like Jule said the sync function and stable operation is worth a little inconvenience.

Being able to use Buy Me A Pie! in landscape mode is very important, especially as Android tablets get larger. Some of the larger tablets from Google, Sony, Dell and others have keyboards which means they are used mostly in landscape.

My 10" Dell Android tablet is kept on the dining room table (a perfect place to manage my lists). It has a keyboard attached and is used there in landscape mode.

Hoping to see this vital feature soon!
