The more I have been using this, the more I feel like this feature is needed. Scenario: My wife builds a list and I go to the store. As I fumble for bags and getting food, I accidentally delete items. I have no idea what I have deleted because I didn't build the list. I go home, my wife is frustrated that I didn't get everything we needed. It seems like a no-brainer to fix this. 

Clever Phil, but definitely a work-around for a missing feature. 

I'm all for having a different way to check-off when I am in the store. Every time I use the app in the store, I accidentally check things because I am holding it and putting it in my pocket. If it had a "shopping mode" and I had to actually left swipe to remove the items, it could avoid this issue. I think the one press is great for building a list and some people may still like this mode in the store.

Absolutely, we organize by the store we typically shop at, so that colors are less important than the categories. Once we have categories, the colors will just be a nice visual to help us to remember. I'm curious about how many categories people have. There is probably a need for more categories than there are colors.
